Systems Integrated Modeling and Simulation (SIMS) Lab

The SIMS lab, headed by Professor Xiaolin Hu, is interested in both fundamental research and applications of computer modeling and simulation. Research interests include modeling and simulation theory and application, agent and multi-agent systems, complex systems science, and advanced computing in parallel and cloud environments. We develop modeling and simulation solutions for a wide range of problems, covering computer science and interdisciplinary research areas such as ecological science, social science and public health modeling and simulation. Our research has been sponsored by the National Science Foundation (NSF), United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL).
